If you really want to read our story, here it is. One day I was sitting around and I asked myself how can I help the male species? How can I make a difference in somebody elseís life? Ok, maybe not that farÖ Through my own personal experience I found that my friends and I seemed to have a contentious relationship with the fashion world. It was apparent like most guys I wasnít born with the fashion gene. Just like every other guy, getting my sense of fashion, style (call it what you will) came from some source that I repeatedly refer to. Be it, magazine pictorials, celebrities, or straight from the people I see everyday. Being from San Diego I dress like most of my southern California peers. Yet, the distressed jeans, the Von Dutch hats, the embroidered button-up, and the occasional vintage t-shirt have all but become somewhat limited, if not stagnant, fashion selections. The So-Cal norm of fashion has become a rut for myself and most likely others. I then began to travel outside this bubble of mine to places around the country like New York, Miami, and Seattle Just to notice that these people dress completely different than us in So-Cal. I turned out to be completely wrong in my assumption that Southern California was the fashion crux that all others are to follow. So I started to take bits and pieces of what I saw other guys wearing in N.Y. and Miami and brought them back to Cali. It was odd, because for the first time I knew what I wanted to buy at the stores. I was actually going to the stores with a better grasp of what I was looking for. Then, like a slap across the face, it occurred to me to showcase the trends that most of us (and you) are never exposed to. We at wearwhatwhen.com are attempting to bring the style influences of various locales to your home computer. Furthermore, the site will not only focus on what to wear but when to wear them. So, if you are traveling to a new locale with little to no idea what other people are rockin, or if you are simply tired of the dried-up style in your own home city, wearwhatwhen.com is set up to help broaden the fashion horizon of the everyday guy. I know for a fact that I canít be possibly be the only guy out on what to wear out to clubs, out to the bars, or just out on the town. Wearwhatwhen.com is a new outlet that truly shows the styles and fashion of the everyday person across the country. Best of all, it is free of charge, and most importantly free of biases. Whatís hot is hot because you think itís hot, not because some fashion critique says so or Justin Timeberlake is wearing it around his chest. This is why we are here, just to show you what people across the country wear. Pictures on-line from different cities showing real people in real outfits in real time. What people are wearing now. Plain and simple. Since menís fashion, style (whatever) doesnít change dramatically week to week, we will update the pictures every three weeks. Wearwhatwhen.com will write informative articles with regards to todayís fashion that will change every three weeks as well. Eventually wearwhatwhen.com envisions this site to be a full service stop on what to wear, and when. Not just street wear we are starting out with.
